Gallbladder Screening
The gallbladder is a small hollow organ that is located under the liver. It
is a storage facility for bile. Bile is a thick fluid which is made by the
liver to aide in digestion of fat.  Gallstones may form from a build up of
cholesterol and block the ducts
which transport bile. A gallbladder
screening
can determine if there are stones present or other
abnormalities of the organ.

Symptoms Include:

  • Abdominal Pain

  • Indigestion

  • Abdominal Bloating

  • Intolerance to fatty foods

The Society of the Alimentary Tract, states, "Gallstone disease represents a national health
care problem, resulting in more than 600,000 gallbladder removals per year".
