Gallbladder Screening |
The gallbladder is a small hollow organ that is located under the liver. It
is a storage facility for bile. Bile is a thick fluid which is made by the
liver to aide in digestion of fat. Gallstones may form from a build up of
cholesterol and block the ducts which transport bile. A gallbladder
screening can determine if there are stones present or other
abnormalities of the organ.
